Resistance 2 is a science fiction horror first-person shooter video game for the PlayStation 3, published by Sony Computer Entertainment. Players will once again step into the war-torn boots of Nathan Hale as the game continues from where Resistance: Fall of Man was finished. After destroying the Central Chimera Tower in London in 1951, Nathan Hale is extracted by SRPA (Special Research Projects Administration) soldiers in a VTOL aircraft, and is sedated and is taken to the SRPA Igloo Base in Iceland.

What happens in Iceland gets revealed as the game progresses. Hale wrestles with the insidious Chimera war machine. All is not over as he also has to battle the virus raging inside his body that threatens to transform him into the very creature he fights against. Also Resistance 2 offers a truly unprecedented eight-player, class-based online co-op campaign with a separate, parallel storyline and 60-player online competitive multiplayer built upon massive battles.
