The powerful optical 70x zoom lens was made possible by the Advanced O.I.S. system. The optical correction of the Advanced O.I.S. reliably eliminates the effect of hand-shake even when subjects are zoomed to maximum magnification. iA (Intelligent Auto) function
The iA function detects shooting conditions and automatically selects the most suitable shooting mode. Activated functions include Advanced O.I.S., which compensates for hand-shake to eliminate blurring, and Face Detection, which adjusts the exposure so faces are captured perfectly. Also included is the Intelligent Scene Selector, which determines the shooting conditions and automatically selects the Scene mode that will provide optimal results.

Easy YouTube uploading
This convenient function makes it fast and easy to upload video clips to the YouTube website, for sharing videos with people all around the world. Simply install VideoCam Suite, which is included with the camcorder, and connect the camcorder to the PC using the USB interface. The software automatically starts up. Then, the user just follows the specified procedure to upload a video clip to YouTube.* * Video clips must be recorded in Web mode in order to be uploaded to YouTube.

0.8 sec. Quick Start
After turning on the camcorder, recording can begin in just 0.8 second. This ensures that sudden shooting opportunities are not missed.

Easy video copying to DVD
By connecting the camcorder to the VW-BN1 DVD Burner (optional) using a USB cable, video recordings can easily be copied to a 12-cm DVD disc (DVD-RAM/-RW/-R/-R DL). The disc can be played on DVD players, so playback is easy too.
