Designed especially for professionals, the D3X is a higher resolution of the D3. With a 24.5 Megapixel it offers you a huge amount of image data and allows for bill-board sized enlargement as well as tight cropping. It also offers you a variety of image sizes (L) 6048 x 4032, (M) 4544 x 3024, and (S) 3024 x 2016 in the FX format (36 x 24).

Measuring approximately 159.5x157 x 87.5mm, the D3X comes with a gorgeous 3.0 inch LCD that allows up to 170 degree wide viewing angle, making the camera a pleasure to use. Built to withstand heavy use the DSLR is sealed against dust and moisture.

It has a rechargeable EN EL4a/EL4 Li-ion battery that works enough to give you approximately 4400 shots. However, the D3X offers a virtual horizon, an intervalometer mode, as well as GPS and Wi-Fi options.

Other features of note include multiple custom options, on-board lateral chromatic aberration correction, an optical view finder and even a built-in help system. The viewfinder offers 100% viewing and, like the LCD, is bright and clear. With an SD memory card it also provides a high speed USB. A control panel is positioned below the camera's LCD, with access to a number of functions including ISO, Quality and White Balance.

Another attractive feature of the Nikon DSLR D3X is its Live View application. It’s beneficial for shooting in studios or even outdoors for landscapes. Offering an Electronically Controlled Timer with duration of 2, 3, 10 or 20 sec it has external flashing options.
