Thinking about making the big leap from compact digital cameras to DSLRs? I believe Canon DSLR EOS 600D is the best one you can lay your hands on. Falling into the upper echelon of the ‘entry-level’ DSLR market, the Canon EOS 600D boasts of a 18.0 megapixel APS-C size CMOS sensor, Full HD 1920 x 1080p video recording with three selectable frame rates of 24fps, 25fps and 30fps, a DIGIC 4 Image Processor, and an ISO range of 100 to 12800.

This all-round snapper looks every bit impressive and is reasonably lightweight and portable weighing only 515 gm and measuring 133.1x99.5x79.7mm. Chief amongst its features is Scene Intelligent Auto, shutter speed of 1/4000 second, a continuous shooting speed of 3.7fps (frames per second), and an advanced automatic mode. This camera comes with a solid array of lens attachments and is compatible with all EF and EF-S lenses including the new EF-S 18-55mm (f/3.5-5.6 IS) II kit lens and EF-S 18-135mm (f/3.5-5.6 IS).

Canon EOS 600D sports a 7.7 cm Vari-Angle LCD Display with 1,040,000 dots that is endowed with anti-reflective and smudge resistant coating. Essentially aimed at the same crowd that uses compact digital cameras, the EOS 600D is certainly a winner.
