One of the best entry level DSLRs If you are just starting with DSLRs and this is your first one, then do not hesitate and go for it. Both lenses are excellent and camera body is more than enough. If you have been reading reviews of this camera vs Nikon D3100 all over net, then be sure that don't go on who wins the comparison in the end. Because the points where Nikon D3100 wins do not really make much of a difference. So read them through and then decide what you need. I went for Canon because of built in AutoFocus motor which is not present in D3100 (a point people tend to neglect). Also D3100 is kinda smaller. So if you have bigger hands (sounds stupid but this is really imp) then you should go for Canon 1100D. Thanks to LetsBuy for perfect price and lots of freebies. Cheers 5 January, 2012
